About Wrush
Wrush Dance Company's multicultural cast creates a fascinating blend of modern and Traditional dance styles with an ability to develop an inspirational and entertaining mix of contemporary, hip-hop and Latin choreography. Through the liveliness and professionalism of our company, we strive to form strong bonds with the community.
History Wrush Dance Company, based in Boston, MA, was founded to create innovative and stimulating performances for all audiences. The co-founders, Ian Mckenzie and Marcos Aguirre, met while dancing on tour with Paula Deanda and Martii Garcia from "Making The Band." Each dancer was previously in there own company, such as Phunk Phenomenon and Urban X, before coming together in March of 2008 to create Wrush.
Wrush Dance Company's credits have included performances at BET's 106th & Park "Wild Out Wednesday", MTV MADE, Sybarite, World of Dance, as well as many other performances around the New England area. The company is also aggressively instructing classes and workshops throughout the greater Boston area, collaborating with institutions such as Jeannette Neill Dance Studio , J&D Cheer & Dance Academy, Dance Complex, and many more.
Wrush gets pure satisfaction in its dedication to the community. The company contributes through collaborative showcases, as well as other events, and is always looking to form partnerships with organizations that share its dedication to the community and passion for dance.
Think positive and positive things will happen!!!!!
